Registered Consignee

Contact us

A registered consignee acts as a facilitator and intermediary. With this authorisation, we enable European companies to sell their energy products to French B2B customers who do not have an excise status allowing them to receive goods under duty suspension.

This means that European suppliers can issue an e-AD (Electronic Administrative Document) using our excise number and deliver directly to their French customers.

What makes this service exceptional?

The sales are carried out under duty suspension. In other words, the excise duty is "suspended" during the period of transport and storage, until the products reach their final destination or are consumed.

QX will handle the clearance of the e-AD upon arrival of the goods at their destination and will also manage the monthly release for consumption of the products, taking care of the excise duty payment on behalf of the European suppliers who have entrusted us with this responsibility.

Which products are concerned?

Petroleum products: The products eligible for this service mainly include those intended for use as fuel or combustible. A comprehensive list is available from the French Authorities.

Alcoholic beverages: This registered consignee status is particularly advantageous for European producers of alcoholic beverages (beer, wine) whose French customers do not have an excise number.

Thanks to this status, European companies can sell their products to a wide range of French clients, including cafés, restaurants, hotels, and distributors, without requiring these clients to obtain an authorised warehouse keeper status beforehand to benefit from these products.
